On Saturday, November 7th at 9:53 am MST my mother texted me the news (US 2020election results), and while I have other thoughts, emotions, and questions, which I will express in a subsequent post. I wanted to take the time to properly acknowledge and archive that on said day, Kamala Harris was elected/became the vice-president-elect of the United States of America. It is the first time in the country's history that: 1. A woman 2. A woman of Black and Indian parentage (Dougla if you're from Trinidad and Tobago) 3. A woman born in the United States of America to two immigrant parents has been elected to such a position in the White House. 4. A woman was sworn in as Vice President. WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE!
